Listening to White Sox tv broadcasts is like listening to crazed fans call a game. They're more like annoying cheerleaders than anything else. This is further proof.

What was there to talk about? There was a right hander warmed up in the bullpen who wasn't brought in, instead Thorton has an 0-2 count and grooves a fast ball. Their closers seem to think because they can throw 95mph they can throw it by major league hitters. Hawk was as frustrated as all Sox fans were. I didn't know if he talked or not because I turned it off as soon as I knew it was gone. That's at least 3 games their so-called closers have blown by giving up the home run ball.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

He did it even worse to the Jim Thome walkoff a couple years ago in extra innings.

Even more evidence of Hawk acting like a 12 year old. He was right, but he kept blabbering on in rage.

Hawk is Hawk. But he has been losing it more lately. That call was a bit ridiculous, since the White Sox player was obviously plunked on purpose earlier without even a warning given. Zobrist was not even hit with the pitch from Quintana, and he gets ejected in a millisecond. The ump should have issued warnings at that point and allowed the game to proceed.

Hawk is no different than any other announcer hired by a home team...
if people don't like him - then for gosh sakes, there's a hundred other channels!

BTW, with their win today, the White Sox swept the Tampa Bay Rays, they've swept 3 of their last 4 series, and have won 12 of 13 to move into 1st place in the AL Central. I doubt it will last as their schedule gets tougher, but things are looking up for them.

+1. Also there is a volume control on the remote. The Reds have one of the best announcers around.
