in fact on the very FIRST pitch he ever saw in a minor league game..
he hit a home run

Tim Tebow's numbers aren't eye-popping but one thing is...

He's doing better and his batting average is up around .226 and slugging pct .356 - not the kind of numbers that a call-up directly from Class A ball

BUT wherever he plays the attendance skyrockets....
Teams that usually draw 1500-3000 fans will have record crowds (7000-9000) and sellouts when they host Tebow's St. Lucie Mets.
This article says he is almost singlehandedly responsible for a LEAGUE WIDE increase in attendance of 13% over last year.

Ya gotta wonder if the NY Mets might still make him a late season roster addition just to gauge the fans' reaction..
