Another nice outing by ace Joe Bircher who is now 3-0. Bradley is now 6-4. But with a bunch of games in a short stretch, they'll need to get strong pitching performances out of some additional guys. So far they have been getting by with mainly 3 starters.

I hope our guys' bats start waking up better...

as a team Bradley hits .260 about the same as we did last year - and we allow opponents a bit better than that - in the end it'll catch up to us - but thus far BU is 6-5

The Braves make it three straight by winning their first extra-innings game of the season. Surprise, surprise, Rob Elliott scored the game-winner and Joe Bircher threw seven scoreless. Bradley improves to 9-5-1 with two more games to go in Florida.

Freshman centerfielder Max Murphy is really emerging. 2-for-3 with a double and his fourth home run of the season today to lead the Braves to an 11-5 win against Jacksonville State. Final game of the Florida trip tomorrow, then the home opener Wednesday night at O'Brien Field.

In a game decided by one run, Bradley missed out on a chance to score when a line drive base hit with a runner at second drilled the field umpire, resulting in a deadball. Centerfielder Max Murphy was at second and likely would have attempted to score on the play. Bummer. But the Braves finished the spring break trip with a 5-2-1 record and will open the home season Wednesday night against UIC at O'Brien Field. Hope to see you there.
