And others here in the 1st half of the game. Way to many animals in the commercials. Its not cute/funny like it used to be.

My vote for the worst ads (2 of them) were the Coca Cola polar bear ads.
They were not unique (Coke has used polar bears for many years), and they didn't make a lot of sense. The polar bears were not even that cute.

Coach you can watch the polar bears watch the game here!

But really this commericals have been pretty weak overall. The Jerry Seinfield Acura commerical wasnt horrible and Bud Light just had an ok one HERE WE GO!

PHEW!!! Great ending to a great game, and the right team won!

As for the commercials, they continue a downward trend that started a few years ago. I would say the M & M commercial and the one with the dog in the horse race "showboating" at the end (I don't even remember the product) were the two best. The Doritos commercial with the baby in the bungee seat stealing the Doritos from the bully was decent too.

I also liked the Pepsi Max commercial which was a bit of a sequel to that great Pepsi commercial from years back where the Coke guy steals a Pepsi from the Pepsi freezer and thousands of Pepsi cans spill out! So when this Coke guy wins the life supply of Pepsi Max, and Regis shows up, that was pretty good. Not as good as the original, but probably one of the top 5 of the night.

I kind of liked the Oikos Greek yogurt commercial too. Stamos's girl finally got fed up with his teasing her and not allowing her to taste the yogurt!

Bud Light really errored this year going with a more serious ad campaign and coming with just one humorous commerical. And that one had a great set up but just died as they could not figure out a good payoff.

Give me Bud Light's kitchen "makeover" commercial from last year that won the Ad Meter for best commercial:

You didn't do anything. You just added a case of Bud Light."

but isn't that odd - the whole purpose of the commercial is to catch your attention and burn the product indeliably into your mind and your memory..
...and yet you watched the commercial and were actually DISTRACTED by it such that you didn't even notice what was being advertisted!!!

A different ad caught my eye and I never could quite figure out what was up - When I saw the aging Clint Eastwood in the Detroit commercial - I immediately thought it was quite odd as it seemed to be promoting the bailout and how well it worked...
Now, I see I was not the only one who thought this commercial was a cheap attempt ("it's America's halftime" - meaning we need four more years of whatever..) to promote the President's re-election..

As one of the first to call the Chrysler Clint Eastwood commercial from last night's Super Bowl a "political ad" — for a moment I felt like the brouhaha over it was partly my fault. Well, until the political hacks weighed in and I realized they were living in a fantasy world.

Jalopnik disagrees with you. My favorite part: "Anyone on the right or the left who thinks the ad was pro-Obama or pro-Republican are demonstrating exactly the bullshit false divides Eastwood warns against in the ad. That's right ??” you *****s are actually the problem."

I wasn't a fan of the commercials or the half-time show. The game was great. It was one of the best Super Bowls I have watched. I watch for the game; the commercials and half time show are there for a different demographic.

regardless - everyone knows where Eastwood stands politically and the America's halftime reference is quite clearly an attempt to promote four more years
..as that link shows - even ultra FAR-left liberal Michael Moore saw the ad for what it was ...a promo for Obama no matter how hard some try to pretend to deny it

                            +1

This one ended up being my favorite with the yogurt commercial showing John Stamos getting headbutted coming in 2nd.

                              Really????

"A one-time mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea, Calif., Mr. Eastwood voted for Republican John McCain in the 2008 presidential election and every Republican candidate since Dwight Eisenhower in 1952, tempted only once to vote for a non-Republican: the independent presidential candidate Ross Perot in 1992, he told the Los Angeles Times newspaper in November 2011."

I saw nothing wrong with this advertisement.
