Interesting...I like Tice, but he has never been a coordinator before. When the Bears hired Mike Martz, previous OC experience was stated to be one of the necessary qualifications. In his previous job with the Bears as the offensive line coach, Tice's O-line was never one of the better squads in the NFL. In fact it was a patchwork of mostly inexperienced and ineffective players learning new positions, and being replaced with high frequency due to injuries, poor play, or other reasons.
One of the stated advantages of hiring Tice is that he is familiar with the offense, but do the Bears really want to retain the Martz offense? I hope not.

You also have to keep im mind that not too-many would apply for OC with Lovie having just 1 year left on his contract!
