  • Future of the Peoria Chiefs

The Chiefs have posted 6-figure losses for the last 4 years. It'll be interesting to see if they are forced to move from Peoria. Probably wouldn't be a good thing for the city.

I hope not. I only go to a couple games a year(So maybe I am the problem) I was just thinking the other day. With the Cubs rebuilding through the farm system they should be getting more young prospects that are highly rated. Could be fun to watch the class A Cubs.

I would like to see how this is such a big deal, very few if any minor league franchises make any money and thats across all levels let alone a low A league in an environment that is really only conducive to baseball for 4-6 months out of the year.

Maybe the Chiefs need to bring back quarter beer night

I always liked going to Chiefs games, I hope they stay in Peoria.

I think it was just a bad idea to build the stadium where it is. There's pretty much nothing else walking-distance nearby and limited parking unless you park on the street. The idea of that area becoming like a little Wrigleyville was pretty farfetched when they built it.
