Stories on Alabama farm and other manual labor jobs not being filled by US citizens once illegal immigrants gone....

No where in any story does it explain why US citizens aren't filling all the jobs which have come open now that illegal immigrants have fled Ala.

With all the welfare, unemployment benefit extensions, medical aid, food aid, housing aid, child aid, phone aid, utility aid etc. appears a lot of these people would rather live on the gov nickel than work for a living....

Apparently being a parasite off of others' efforts has no shame attatched to it anymore and any job that involves hard manual labor, or cramps people's lifestyles, is to be avoided.

In previous economic slowdowns, people would take any job available, and often work two or even three low paying jobs, to get by, support their spouses/kids, and then move up again.

Now, they just scream for more gov benefits, deplete all the charity/religious resources available, and cause everyone else to pick up their defaulted bills....

It's not just labor jobs. Retailers are having an incredibly difficult time finding people who want to work part-time during the holidays for the same exact reason...... Even when retailers have said that many of these jobs will lead to full-time employment and potential upward mobility and advancement -- http://www.myfox8.com/news/wghp-few-...,4421811.story

Siemens has said they would like to hire 3000 specialty machinists full-time and are willing to pay for training, yet they are also having a hard time finding people willing to work. It's gotten to the stage of desperation with Seimens because they already have orders that need to be filled and may not be able to do so until people get hired and trained -- http://jobs.aol.com/articles/2011/04...share_facebook

However, on a positive note, I posted a link on my Facebook page that a town's fire department was hiring and looking for a "few good men" (and women) that a friend saw. His son, who is in college at an Illinois public college and wants to be a firefighter, saw my link and took the liberty to call the fire chief...... He has a job interview lined up for next week.
