Ms. First Lady will be at the World Series opener tonight. Baseball, cold Budweiser and a nice fruit salad. Doesn't get any better that.

You might be right on that one. Those are some brutal uniforms.

Seeing that picture of Nolan Ryan and JR Richard brings back memories. I actually went out and bought one of those jerseys. They were 2 of my favorite players growing up.

Richard is one of only 13 black pitchers to win 20 games. At 6'8'' he was among the tallest pitchers in baseball history at that time and one of the hardest throwers ever. He turned down over 200 basketball scholarships to play baseball. Was having a great season in 1980 when he started to experience dizziness, blurred vision and a dead arm. The Astros and the media thought he was faking an injury but when he passed out in the outfield before a game they found out he had suffered 3 different strokes.

He was never the same again and was soon released. In the mid 1990's they found him homeless and living under a bridge.

Heard she was going to lead Cardinal Nation in jumping jacks during the 7th inning too
