Weekend Tennis Updates

My office will be periodic updates on the men's and women's tennis action this weekend at BradleyBraves.com. The men are opening their fall schedule by hosting the Hotels at Grand Prairie Invitational at the David Markin Tennis Courts and the Bradley Park courts. The women, meanwhile, are participating in the 2011 Gopher Invitational at the University of Minnesota.

In the first bit of good news this weekend, the women's team has a doubles victory on the board against a team from LSU:

Congratulations to freshman Jessie Bertino, who has advanced to Sunday's championship match in her flight at Minnesota's Golden Gopher Invitational:

Meanwhile, the Bradley men have racked up a combined 30-11 record through the first two days at the Hotels at Grand Prairie Invitational:

Weather permitting, the Braves will wrap up the tournament beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday at the David Markin Tennis Courts. If raining, the matches will be moved indoors to the Clubs at River City Tennis North complex.
