There's a lot of bad but I want to focus on the good...
(feel free to add the good stuff you enjoyed today)
-it's an absolutely beautiful day - maybe the best weather we've had all year
-Bradley basketball is on a roll -- landing plenty of talent for 2011 and now starting off tremendously on 2012...
-Bradley soccer is off to a great start!
-unlike the weather on the east coast and the south where they've been flooding, and the southwest where they've had drought...we have it pretty good...
we really haven't had that much drought - in fact we're several inches ahead this year on total rainfall and we're more than 24 inches ahead over the past 3 years.
-kids are all back in school without any major incidents or long teachers' strikes and we have gobs of fall sports (football, soccer, golf, baseball, volleyball, etc..) to keep us happy 'til basketball gets going next month....
-After an entire summer of riots, shootings, and major crimes it was actually one of the all time slowest crime weeks in Peoria - so much so that the big crime news is that one part was stolen off one car last week
-even the biggest of the crimes that have occurred recently - were solved quickly with arrests..
-Nationally we just completed the FIRST month in a decade where no US servicemen were killed in Iraq
-only about 2 weeks 'til Bass Pro Shops opens
