Bradley Soccer Opens Home Schedule Thursday

The Bradley Soccer team will open the 2011 home schedule Thursday night against Eastern Illinois and will host Green Bay Saturday night. Both games will kick off at 7 p.m. at Shea Stadium and I hope you can all make it out for the games.

Eastern Illinois is no longer part of the Missouri Valley for men's soccer. They returned to the Summit League for this season, after playing in the MVC from 1996-2010. They are now back playing in the Summit League this year.
They are 1-0, and upset Northwestern 2-1 last Friday-

EIU was a member of the Summit League (then known as the Mid-Continent Conference) from 1983-1995, and won five regular-season titles as a member of the Mid-Continent Conference. Last year in their final season in the MVC, the Panthers finished 4-12-1, 1-7-1 and missed the MVC playoffs.

In the Summit preseason poll, they were picked tied for 5th.
