The real Big Z is back, just ask a class act like Chipper Jones. Hit so hard tonight, he might have to go on the DL again.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

Just saw that on WGN. The team and especially the manager could be so lucky.

All things considered, that'd be a near miracle for the Cubs payroll.

I'm a die-ard Cubs fan and I'm getting really tired of this act. To just quit like he did is pretty pathetic. The Cubs need to put him on the suspended list and find a way to get rid of him. This guy doesn't deserve to put on any MLB uniform.

That was my final Jim Hendry straw this summer. I thought the one thing he needed to accomplish this offseason was trade Z. He wasn.t able to do it. I know they would have had to pay part of his salary. I knew there was no way he would make it through the year. I figured there would be some ***** that thought they could get him right. Oh well. next thing is play the young guys to let them show if they have it. Why is Reid Johnson still starting? You know what he can do. The season is over. Look at some young guys.

Very much agree with everything you stated. I also think that Handry should have traded Marmol. To only trade Fukudome is very ****ing!

                    Is he really only 30?

He has 6-7 more competitive years. I think he just needs a change of scenery.

I bet if the Cardinals picked him up he would be fine. Positive energy in STL...not just saying this to rag on the Cubs. I really think if he went to a new club that is winning and stable....he could do ok.

The thing that people are missing with Zambrano is that his fastball was 97-98 mph when he was effective 5 or 6 years ago. He now routinely throws around 92. His slider is also much less effective and is rarely located where he wants it.
A change of scenery can't help diminished physical skills...though it might help psychologically.

And how often does he go more than 6 innings anymore? Way overpaid phony.
