Pacific Coast League (Triple A) - Omaha pitcher David Lough has a no-hitter in the 9th inning, and a fly ball to left goes off the left fielder's glove...
The ruling in the game by the scorekeeper was an error, then Lough finished the game and enjoyed a NO-HITTER!
BUT -- the coach of the Memphis Redbirds was upset that his player didn't get a hit (a double) on the play and so he lodged an unusual protest -- not to overturn any outcome of the game, but to overturn the scoring decision and change his player's error to a hit.
The PCL did change the ruling from error to hit, thus a day later, David Lough has his no-hitter nullified and now has a 1-hitter.
