The Orleans Fire Birds (13-14-3) scored the most runs off Falmouth Commodores (13-16) starter Joe Bircher (Bradley) since his first start of the year and the Commodores lost 7-3 in Orleans on Saturday night.

Bircher went five innings, allowing three runs ??” the most since he allowed three to Yarmouth-Dennis on June 11. He also didn??™t strike out a batter for the first time this year.
