  • NHL Hockey Tonight!

If you aren't a big fan of hockey, and have a large hi def TV and cable access to Versus HD, tune into the Detroit Red Wings v San Jose Sharks Game 7 Western Div Semifinal Playoff game on right now.

I am watching it at home on my 50" Hi Def Pioneer HD Plasma and running sound through my surround sound system....I feel like I am in a suite at the stadium...the action and energy is fantastic.

    You will be hooked...

Really upset i dont get VS with my package through Dish Network, just cant afford it at the moment

HD is the best thing to happen for hockey since the full faced goalie mask haha

Really want a surround sound system too to get that full room effect, but as a recent college grad, student loans are a little more important haha.

I agree. if anyone learned to dislike watching hockey on TV because of the older, low-def TV picture, they should check it out in High-def. I have been watching hockey on a large screen, high def TV for the last couple years, and it is great. It's a lot like being there, just without the crowd and the chilly drafts.

This is not the NHL, it's the World Hockey Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia. But this is a unique move that is worth checking out. It's a unique goal that leads Finland to a win over Russia, and advances them to the Championship game against Sweden.

Finland's Mikael Granlund scoops up the puck with his stick, circles around the net and throws the puck over the Russian goalie's shoulder into the net.

First goal of the game scored by Mikael Granlund for Team Finland against Team Russia in the IIHF World Championship Semifinal. So awesome!
