The NFL draft is Thursday, April 28. The Bears own the 29th spot in the first round. But they expect most of the players they want to be drafted by then, so there is a strong possibility they could trade their pick in the first round according to Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune-

It won't happen, but IMO, they should move up in this draft by trading Devin Hester, maybe another player, plus their 29th pick.Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

First of all I have to admit that I am not a Bears fan.. My reason for trading Hester is that I think that his value will never be higher than it is at this time. I don't think that Hester is a very good wide receiver therefore in my opinion, he is more of a one dimensional player to the team. Albeit a darn good one... The NFL just voted to move the kickoff from the 30 to the 35 yard line which IMO will result in more touchbacks. Therefore I think that Hester's value will likely decrease and I think that the Bears should test the market to see what they can get out of Hester. The Bears could certainly use a higher draft pick, but I don't know the quality of the upcoming draft. I can't remember the guys name, but the Bears have another player who is also very good at handling punt and kick returns... Just my opinion but I doubt that it will ever happen...Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

Chicago needs a better OL. Both tackles are weak. A #1 WR would be great, but it's hard to find that level of talent at #29. I think they will trade down. Angelo is not a good GM. Take a look at the 07 draft class. http://www.databasefootball.com/draf...?tm=chi&lg=nflI can do all things through pasta, which strengthens me.

The Bears can't keep "Yankeeing" it by signing the big name free agents.
When 2 of your best 3 players are, quite frankly, another team's trash- that's an issue, and a costly one at that. Peppers is a little different, but still, there's a reason everyone hates the Yankees. I think the Bears are the best example of it in the NFL...minus the rings.
I can't think of another team in recent memory who has traded for another team's "franchise" quarterback. Denver didn't let him go for asking for too much money, there was a reason he was on the market. Maybe Cutler has a good career and the Bears got really lucky. But sooner or later, the Bears need some of their own talent.WE WANT HEEMSKERK!

Green Bay first round: 05 Rodgers, 06 AJ Hawk (meh.), 07 Justin Harrell (miss), 08 Jordy Nelson, 09 BJ Raji and Clay Matthews, 10 Bryan Bulaga (?).I can do all things through pasta, which strengthens me.
