Disclaimer: Since I don't get my income nor any other handout from the federal government I have my bias....I don't care as much as some if the whole government shuts down. What do you think?

now wait .. this is only the federal government we're talking about..
plus...you don't expect to get paid today for the work you're doing today, right??
So really, if your work period ends Friday (and maybe it doesn't end 'til next Friday) you'd still not get your check for this pay period until likely 2 weeks later -- since that's the way the government works....so the very first you'd miss a thing is at least 2-3 weeks down the road...so why would you stop working now -- the problem will be settled before you even miss a check...

Yeah I'm federal - Really kind of depends on a couple of factors, how long they decide to lock us out, and whether or not congress votes to back pay us. In past shut downs, congress has voted to back pay - but with the mood in congress, that isn't necessarily a given. If they don't vote to back pay, or vote no, we simply just lose our incomes.Sungani umoyo womseko na wokonda waumbiri anznga.

I have a few projects that are taking place with the Feds which may delay contracts from being signed. One good thing though the last few years a bunch of federal facilities have been seeded by private funds which will keep those facilities opened for business as usual."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

Hopefully they will figure this thing out. In addition to the whole income necessary for living thing - I like my job, and find my work fulfilling and important, and honestly don't relish the idea of having to let it sit idle while I stand there waiting for someone to tell me I can work again, or i'm permanently fired - just make the decision already. So yeah, furloughs blow.Sungani umoyo womseko na wokonda waumbiri anznga.
