Both are good, but both are a bit bland compared to Ronnie. And Cubs fans might have preferred someone who was a Cub for the majority of their career.
At least Keith Moreland spent 6 of his 12 seasons as a Cub, Dave Otto was a Cub for only one season out of 8 spent on MLB.
I expect Moreland to be the final choice. At least he seems a little more passionate than Otto.

I agree with your assessment that Moreland seems to be more passionate/exciteable, but Otto really does a great job in breaking down the game from a strategy standpoint.

Interesting that Moreland does the color for University of Texas football and I think he is involved with their baseball broadcasts. Otto is experienced with Hughes and the Cubs. Neither is a bad choice.

The times Ive heard Moreland do UT football he is good and Otto is also good. I think either will come in and have no issues with replacing Santo.
