Everything is going well for the Bears, but there is one little controversy. Sunday's playoff game against Seattle featured Jim Cornelison singing a rousing version of the National Anthem. Just as the fans at Chicago Stadium do at Blackhawks games, the cheering got louder and louder until the end. Some players said the energy from the crowd got them energized even more than usual, and helped lead to the Bears tremendous start. Bears fans were so excited and moved by Cornelison's version of the National Anthem, that many are asking the Bears to have him repeat his performance this Sunday against the Packers.
The problem is that the Bears are rumored to have already scheduled Chicago native and American Idol winner Lee DeWyze to sing the National Anthem. They are being mum on what they will do, but if fans get their way, expect to see Cornelison repeat his rendition.
