  • Harbaugh to 49ers

Looks like the 49ers like former Bears players for their Head Coaches!

Jim Harbaugh has agreed to a five-year, $25 million contract to become the San Francisco 49ers' head coach Friday, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Now they (49ers) only need a quarterback, and defensive secondary....

How about an offensive line? I'm not sold that Alex Smith is that bad. He has had flashes and am not sure they could do to much better then what will be available out there.

If SF was anything as tolerate as CHI is w/ Cutler the entire SF o-line would be thrown under the bus regardless of how many mistakes he made.

If I'm SF I would look into a FA quarterback to pressure Smith(s) and draft another lineman in the 1st round. Worst case scenario the FA takes over and shows what he can do w/ the same line.

If all the fails, trade the house for Mr. Luck.

How about those 49ners! What a game today against The Saints. I always thought Alex Smith was a decent QB.

Smith to Vernon Davis, right up there with "The Catch" Montana to Clark vs Dallas, Montana to Taylor in Super Bowl XVI vs Cincinnati, and Young to TO in NFC Championship vs Green Bay, "The Catch II"....

Ironically, Smith produced a TD in the 'Red Zone' when the 49ers needed it most!

PS Niner Defensive Secondary played pretty well (except for 2 plays )...

I don't think anyone outside of the 9ers thought he was any good.

Look at my post on this thread about a year ago! 1/08/2011 I said it all along that he had the tools to be good. He never had any consistency within the organization and their O line was terrible.

Vernon Davis got much better this year too. Crabtree is such a disappointment. It looked like he would be much better when he came into the NFL.

Crabtree is a head case and he either shapes up soon or he's gone. He does have talent but he wants to be an outside WR instead of a slot guy, which he would be perfect. Anyway, I bet he'll have a pretty good game this weekend because the Giants are goiing to put an extra guy on Vernon and this should open up the passing lanes for the WRs. He does remind me of TO a bit.

                          Both, a talented head case.

Catch it, just don't try to run in all that traffic. You're in overtime, just give your offense a chance to score. I long for the old days when teams tackled instead of stripping the ball.
