  • Bulls Joakim Noah Out 8-10 weeks

Noah is playing tonight against the Raptors and has 11 points and 11 boards. Looks like he will have surgery though and will miss 8-10 weeks. Just when this team was starting to really click injury bug strikes again.

Wow -- lots of injuries in Tom Thibodeau's short reign as head coach, first Boozer, now Noah, and even Derrick Rose is all banged up.
Using logic seen here in Central IL, I guess they had better fire Thibodeau now before this injury thing gets even worse..

The Bulls are actually deep at the 4/5 position. With Boozer back healthy, and with as well as Taj Gibson has been playing, I do not think the Noah injury will hurt them too much. Also, the Bulls schedule is quite a bit easier the next several weeks than it has been the last month.
Either Kurt Thomas, James Johnson, or Brian Scalabrine will be activated to replace Noah on the active roster.
It is unlikely the Bulls would consider trying to sign another big man. The list of available centers is not any better than what is available on the Bulls roster-

Didn't like Noah when he played at Florida, but the last couple years he has become the one NBA player I enjoy watching, besides AP. He never stops hustling.

Da Coach I have to disagree. Noah is one player besides Rose the The Bulls cannot afford to be down too long. He plays with so much tenacity and does so many things that just do not show up on the stat sheets.
