Zambrano was 8-0 in 11 starts after the All-Star break with a 1.41 ERA.

Including a couple relief appearances after the All-Star break, his Batting Avg. Allowed was .195 with a WHIP of 1.27.

There were few, if any, starters more dominant during the 2nd half of the season.

Jim Hendry is a really bad GM who is good at getting little in return for trades.

Hard to see what the Yankees could give the Cubs that would be worth trading Zambrano for, other than dumping his salary and getting minor leaguers. Depending on what can be had for Zambrano, Cubs should dump him.

I am not lying, my first thought when I heard Cliff Lee wasn't going to the Yankees was- Jim Hendri better be on the ___'in phone right now. That was my number one off season wish. Get Carlos a new home. He finished great last year, but it won't last forever even though I think he is pretty good. He needs to be somewhere else when next year begins or the Cubs have failed.

The fact that Zambrano has frequently stated that he will retire at the end of the 2012 season and the Cubs are not currently World Series contenders, why no trade Zambrano for some high quality prospects and build for a brighter future.
