  • Ohio St. Prez disregards Boise and TCU

Even if TCU and Boise State run the table, they still don't deserve to be in the Bowl Championship Series title game, Ohio State president E. Gordon Gee said Wednesday.

This should make some people very unhappy!
When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

Until Ohio State schedules football games vs Boise St and TCU on the road, I suggest their President should shut his pie hole....

#2 Auburn is now down 21-0 to Alabama.
A loss by #2 Auburn will move Boise State and TCU up another notch, and likely place them #2 and #3 in every ranking.
BTW, the only BCS school ahead of Boise and TCU, #1 Oregon State, has 2 tough games left to play (tonight at home against #20 Arizona State and at Oregon State). If they lose one of them, it will be a lot harder to ignore BSU or TCU.
It will be interesting to see what the BCS does with them.

This game for Auburn means nothing. Next week v S Carolina means everything. They win that one they play for the BCS title. I dont think there is anyway that TCU or Boise is allowed to play in a title game.

Well actually if Oregon loses, Auburn loses then yes one might play LSU. But if Auburn wins the SEC title and Oregon wins out they play each other. I would not be surprised to see if Oregon loses and Auburn wins the SEC title game, that Auburn and LSU play.

But regardless the whole system is a complete joke and the OSU president is just a mouthpiece for the BCS. They do not want to share a thing with anyone, everyone knows his statement regarding the Big Ten is nothing but BS. Beyond UW, OSU and MSU, there is not a team in the Big Ten who is competitive nationally and would not challenge either Boise or TCU head to head.

Doesn't matter now. Auburn wins after a furious comeback from 24 points down! Looks like the OSU president will get his wish. That doesn't keep him from being the supreme tool that he is, but I hope he's happy that he will most likely get his "precious" Oregon vs Auburn national championship game! Still a shot for Oregon to lose, and Auburn still has to win the SEC championship next week. And of course BSU and TCU still have to take care of business too, with BSU facing an extremely difficult game tonight on the road against #19 Nevada.

As one of the hosts on the Score in Chicago brings up this time each year, the BCS is an insult to the B and the S!

I would support the systems as well if I was the President of Ohio State. The BCS formula has put the Buckeyes in the BCS Championship game in 2007 and 2008 when they were undeserving each time. While they were trounced in both games, the money is worth the sting of defeat!
