  • Randy Moss to the Bears?

Randy Moss will reportedly be waived by the Minnesota Vikings, though apparently it has not happened officially yet.
Some writers are speculating where he could land next, maybe the Bears? I don't expect it to happen.

Neither of these articles consider the Bears a possibility-
Having been let go by his second team in less than a month, Randy Moss is expected to be available to all other NFL teams on Tuesday after being waived by the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings officially placed Randy Moss on waivers Tuesday. Teams have until Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET to claim him. Waiver claims are made in inverse order of the current standings, so Buffalo, the team with the worst record in the league, has the first shot to claim Moss.

Man I hope not. If he couldn't handle the train-wreck Vikings, and I can't imagine he'll handle the plane-crash Bears very well.

It cracks me up how the Chicago media thinks that Moss would not be an upgrade over the current core of below-average Bear recievers. Cut Aromashodu (who the media has fallen in love with and who can't remember the plays) and get Moss. It won't happen because I am sure he will get claimed before the Bears have a chance. Nice to dream though!

He would be an upgrade, but I don't think it would make much difference in the offense. With no time for patterns to develop they still need running plays and short passes. He would be ticked off at the lack of passes coming his way. He is a talented reciever, but if I am the bears I don't want him. Maybe if I am the Saints, Dolphins, Falcons I may want him, enough to put them at the top of the league.

Just guessing here.... If Moss is claimed on waivers I think it would be from either San Diego or Seattle. If Moss clears waivers, I think he will be a Patriot.

STL would be a good landing spot.

I'd prefer he not go to the Bears unless he can play tackle or guard. While the Bear WRs aren't the same talent level as Moss, they do play hard and aren't the major problem with the offense. Moss would become another distraction for the Bears and take away playing time from the other WRs.

Nono, if we get Moss then it frees up Aromashodu to play LT!!!!! You're not seeing what the Chicago media is on Aromashodu's endless multi-position hidden talents!

I'm on board then. I really want the Bears to clean house (Angelo on down) after the season. One analyst (don't remember who) said that Cutler is hated in the locker room and likely won't last the season. Maybe he can do ads with Wilford Brimley.

Wonder what the over-under is for how many weeks Moss sticks with the Titans this year?

The downfall on the personnel side for the Bears is when they gave Lovie greater personnel power after the Super Bowl apearance. Look at the drafts before and after the Super Bowl year. How about Adam Archuleta for Chris Harris, Mark Anderson over Alex Brown, and the signing of a washed up Orlando Pace. They have Lovie's stamp all over them. He is more obsessed with speed than production. Now he, Angelo and Ruskell determine that Rashied Davis, Devin Aromashodu and Juaquin Iglesias are all better than Moss, let alone Bennett, Hester and Knox. Give me a break. Moss would have surely been motivated to play against Minnesota twice a year! Bring on Bill Cowher!!

It's not like Angelo was a scouting god prior to that point. The majority of his first round picks are misses. Angelo is the ultimate problem.
