How about them Giants! Too bad I'm heading out of town on Wednesday and am guaranteed to miss the parade. Their pitching staff can only get better, imagine that. What a game pitched by "The Freak", and Edgar Renteria going out like that, at least he has said he was retiring.

Great season, great playoffs, great WS win by the Giants!
Wish I was there SFP....enjoy tonight and tomorrow. Too bad you'll be out of town for the parade.
Will be interesting to see if they can keep their pitching staff together in an era of free agents and salary caps....
Renteria back, Burrell, Rowland and Zito gone. What better time than to eat these contracts - with the cash from the WS win and ability to raise ticket prices next season.
Edgar has always been one of my all time favorite players. I can't think of a player over the last 15 years who has been more clutch than him. I was really sad to see him leave the cards, he was the X-factor of that deadly '04 offense.

The staff is young and the organization has some deep pockets. Renteria will be 50-50% coming back depending on how much he wants but the others are gone. Burrell needs to retire. He had a hard time catching up with a 90 mph fastball on the outside corner. Everyone new where it was going and yet he could not touch it.
BTW..I told my GF if Lee's ego gets in the way and pitches to Edgar he's hitting it hard. He should have pitched around him and faced Rowland.
