Oh man! What was Notre Dame thinking going for a game winning touchdown with 40 seconds left when all they needed was a field goal from their kicker who has made 18 straight! Their starting quarterback was knocked out of the game with a leg injury which led to Tommy Rees replacing him. Now I understand Rees is a freshman, but he should have known better than to throw into the end zone which lead to an interception and the first Tulsa win at Notre Dame in their first ever visit by a 28-27 score.
I don't know if that was a coaches decision or not, but someone got really carried away here! In all seriousness, what has been a very difficult week due to the death of their video guy just got even worse with some bad game management.
I'm not that much of a Notre Dame fan, but Declan Sullivan's death not withstanding, Notre Dame certainly has lost a lot of the luster of their glory years, and yet their fans still think they have a right to a BCS game every year. Not quite!
