The good? We are 1-0. Good way to end both halves with scores. Pretty strong defense for 1st game. Matt Forte's awesome receiving day.

The bad? Pretty much the whole offense in 2nd half - Cutler looked bad, receivers crossed up - can't blame O-line entirely. Lackluster special teams. 4 Fumble-rooskies. Barely managed to win vs. a mediocre team with 2nd-string QB for half the game. Hester was a non-factor.

The ugly? Failure to punch in a TD on 4 downs from the 1/2 yard line. Play calling in 2nd half. Loose D on last drive of game almost cost us. Our offense got boooed a couple teams in the 1st home game of the season!!!

We are in for a loooooong season, guys! I'd be surprised if we win another game until we play the Skins on Oct. 24th (Week 7). Prove me wrong, boys!

All we need to take away from this game is....

The bears could barely beat a terrible team at home, this team being without their starting QB for half of the game. So when the Bears play Dallas next week.............................................. .................................................. ...............................

Could be an ugly game!! Seriously not many teams looked good this first week! NFL may want to reconsider the idea of expanding the regular season, because most teams look liked they need all 4 preseason games!
Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope.

          Game 2

Looking Good! Up 10 with 4 to go.... Wait... Dallas fumbles, you can put it on the board... Yes - All passing yards. Good game Cutler! The 2-0 Bears. 2:25 to go. Very impressed.

            Final: Bears 27 Dallas 20

What an enjoyable game for Bears fans to watch!
Last year there was quite a bit of criticism of Jay Cutler, but this year he has been impressive. I can't recall a Bears quarterback for a long time who looked this good and hit his receivers consistently.

By the way- if female reporters really want to be taken seriously, then they need to quit saying stupid things like Pam Oliver just did in her post-game interview with Jay Cutler- she commented on Cutler's dental work, "nice teeth!".

I guarantee there is no male sports reporter alive who would have made that inane and embarrassing comment. Fox, please get rid of Pam Oliver.

The radio announcer just said it sounded like there were more Bears fans at the game
Cutler with a 136.7 pass rating.
Now we get a Monday Night game at home next! - We'll get to beat Green Bay

Does anyone remember what the Bears preseason record was the year they won the Super Bowl. Was it 0-4, not sure.

WOW...that was fun....the Hester catch for a TD was fabulous......maybe this O' will come around and really score pts on a regular basis! Would still like to improve the run game and the D' needs some sacks! But I'll take the W!

Though some sources I could find do say the Bears went 0-4 in the 1985 preseason, I think that is wrong. Reliable sources say they went 1-3.

That's ironic because she(Pam Oliver) was putting Lance Briggs on the spot in a pre-game interview. Speaking about Briggs's comments about women in the locker room. Then she goes and does that. Funny!

I agree, but don't bet on it.

                          DA BEARS now 3-0

OMG !!! , I get backs from watching a great Bears game, at a friends home, and there's not one mention on this site of the Bears great victory. There are no true sports fans here...

Since you've been busy yapping and quoting each other in that other thread, I'll fill you in.... DA BEARS beat the Packers 20-17 in a very exciting game. But I bet you couldn't take your eyes off that other thread.

I'll spell it out for you -

                          HESTER AND

                          URLACHER

This should be just a brief intermission for you, get back to that other thread and keep bashing or whatever it is...

Sorry, I went to bed after the game. But it was a fun game to watch. And Cutler again looked like one of the top quarterbacks in the league.

                            Bears 20- Packers 17

In case other fans went to bed after the game and didn't see this story, one of the packers' players got into an altercation with fans after the game-

Video of the altercation will be available sometime this morning-

OMG -- the Packers' player claims he was provoked by naughty cheers coming from the Bears fan!!
If that was sufficient excuse, then we'd have a free for all at every game.

Really? In the game I watched Cutler threw one bad interception. He also had 2 interceptions reversed on penalties. One of those the penalty had something to do with the interception, one did not. He threw two other interceptions that were dropped by pro-bowler Nick Collins.

Could have easily been another 5-interception game. To me he looked like one of the luckier QBs in the league...
