OT - 'America's Got Talent'

Anyone watching this one? This is one of the better seasons.

Watch the first two, put the first one 'Jackie', a 10 year old angel, on full screen and hit the Esc key when done. Then watch the second one, 'Fighting Gravity' on full screen, a group of college fraternity brothers.

Still waiting but soon, 9-20 I think, for my favorite show to start - DWTS. I wait for that with almost as much anticipation as the Braves and it does help get closer to basketball season.

Go Braves, Go White Sox (6 in a row) - to bad the Twins keep winning, Sox still do have 3 at home against the Twins.

Yessss.....this is the first time I've watched AGT and I look forward to it every week! Three things should happen (even if they don't win the competition).......

Fighting Gravity will be performing in Vegas on a regular basis.

Michael Grimm will get a major-label recording contract.

Michael Grasso should be performing in Vegas on a regular basis.

I am not as sold on Michael Grimm. I think he is similar to last year's winner, Kevin Skinner, who was not that good, but he sang songs that had limited range, and fooled a lot of people. Michael Grimm is a little better, but IMO he's not great.
Fighting Gravity will make money performing in Las Vegas, though it is just a novelty, and will wear off.
And Jackie Evancho has an unbelieveable voice, and should win the competetion.

I watched it a few times this year. I was in the process of switching from Dish Network to DirecTV. All I had was 3 over the air channels to watch. I have to say my reaction was America must not have talent. There is nobody on there worth a contract. They have some that are entertaining to see once, but no exceptional talent.

I most definitely believe there is an audience and therefore a major-label contract awaiting Michael Grimm. I also believe that will allow him the publicity and money to have a long career making music. Besides, there are thousands of recording acts that are "not great". I don't believe Grimm is "great", but I certainly do like his style and enjoy listening to his music!

I'm sure many people believed Blue Man Group was a novelty as well and I would put Fighting Gravity right alongside them. BMG seems to do pretty well selling a lot of tickets consistently in a few cities. I have no reason to believe Fighting Gravity couldn't have just as long a run as BMG, especially with the backing/funding of a Vegas hotel.

I agree, Jackie will probably win the competition.

It's about 4 1/2 minutes, put it on full screen from the start. I don't watch the night of the show, I watch the next day on line - no cable fees for me Watched the entire show (nbc.com) with 35 less commercial minutes, only about a 15-30 second commercial between the acts. Sometimes the shows don't get posted until the afternoon.

I'm going with Prince Poppycock, Grasso, Fighting Gravity and Jackie for the final four, in no particular order. Will I fight the urge to try and find some site that has the results tonight or wait until Friday to watch it

Go White Sox! Minnesota doesn't want to lose, Sox need to take these last two games against Detroit and then sweep KC.

While I do enjoy Prince Poppycock, I thought last night was his worst performance as I got the feeling that he was just getting too crazy. I liked him more when it had more of an opera feel to it. Definitely talented and one of my faves, just not last night.

I agree with your other three picks....Grasso, Fighting Gravity and Jackie, but I'm sticking with my previous picks and I'll put Michael Grimm instead of Poppycock. The dance team did a great job last night as well!

Fighting Gravity is one of my faves to watch, but I didn't enjoy them as much last night either.

Grasso was good on first watch, but not incredibly impressive (other than the speed/timing factor) upon further review.

I watched the show in about 1:20 last night......thanks to the DVR.

However, I won't be able to watch the results until Thursday night.
