  • Thome hits record-tying 12th walk-off home run

This was the 12th career game-ending shot for Thome, tying him with Jimmie Foxx, Mickey Mantle, Stan Musial, Frank Robinson and Babe Ruth for first on the all-time list.

    Great job Jim!

Career home run No. 581 to increase the Twins' lead in the American League Central race to four games.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

IMO, Jim would have by now, or be awful close, to 600 Home Runs if the Sox hadn't traded him to the Dodgers last season, which was a bad move for a DH, and let him go this season. Don't know what Guillen was thinking when he said he couldn't use him regularly this seson.
What part of illegal don't you understand?
