Question for Reds Fans

We are talking about grown men who are all full of testosterone and think they are tough....
professional athletes don't tend to settle differences by working it out with words....
besides that.....the cardinals suck and I certainly knew we had the worst record in baseball over the last month without having to look it up. no one else could possibly be doing worse! but I still wear my hat.

I surely hope not.
Maybe I should go buy Grand Theft Auto, so I can talk tougher.
Gimme a break, like you've never been upset about something and have never said words like that before to anyone. Get off your holier-than-thou pedestal...it's a sports forum. Start reading the Better Homes and Gardens forum if you can't take some of the language on this board.

What point did I make? I didn't use a single "bad" word in that last post so as to not offend you. lol you really have some issues if you are starting language fights. I sure hope you have never cursed in your life otherwise you are quite the first-stone-thrower a.k.a. a hypocrite. Just drop the smugness..
You have no actual point to make and you know what cueto did was wrong and cowardly so you try to avert this fact by demeaning the people that are angry and upset about what he did to protect your reds team. And if you aren't a fan of either why would this concern you?

My question.....did Phillips "seek out" the people in the Cardinals' organization before he opened his mouth in front of reporters? Just wondering why he didn't actually say something to the people he apparently has a problem with.???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

[QUOTE=BradleyJD;192012]At what age would you advocate this advice to someone. I work with younger kids. Should I teach them to punch people they don't get along with? Or maybe use weapons?
QUOTE]
If a kid is going to play a sport, they need to respect the sport, play hard every single time they go between the lines and if you do not play hard or do things that disrespect the sport there will be problems. Its real simple to me you dont start anything but if someone starts it with you, you end it.
I am sorry but the whole PC lets all give everyone a trophy and talk out any issue is BS. There is always a winner and a loser, not everyone gets a trophy and sometimes settleing a difference is not always by talking it out and shaking hands.
Look I guess I am different, when I played baseball in college if someone mouthed off, you didnt go seek them out talk and hug. You settled your differences on the field. This world is dilusional if it is thought that the Cardinals needed to talk to Phillips to "understand" him and his point of view. No one on Cardinals gives a flip about why Phillips said it, they only care that he did and that what he said was disrepectful.
And by come up to the plate the next night and tapping Molina that only continued the disrespect. Teach whatever you want at whatever age you want. But dont be naive, in a sports setting guys do not go and talk it out, its settled on the field and in competitive sports thats how it should be.

I do not like Dusty Baker, although I think he has done a good job this season.
I have never been a Phillips fan.
I do not think the Reds should have kept Cueto.

Now tell me where I am hiding from what Cueto did.
Fair enough, I admit I didn't read your previous posts until you starting being pompous...demeaning anyone you could for using the cat word. Didn't realize it...sorry won't do it again lol. I still am not convinced you got a little bit sensitive (and defensive) because we are right for calling Cueto what he really is for his actions. Then again I don't know you...maybe you never have used that word before but when something ticks me off I'm going to use every name in the book...just how I am. Sorry if that isn't good for you, you clearly are the better person.

I have used words that are considered unfit for public consumption, although I tend not to use them in public.
Cueto was wrong, and should be, IMO, let go by the Reds. (just for the record)When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.
