White Sox trade acquires Edwin Jackson from Arizona for Daniel Hudson and prospect

The White Sox have just acquired pitcher Edwin Jackson from the Arizona Diamondbacks for rookie pitcher Daniel Hudson and a minor league pitcher named David Holmberg.

There is speculation that the White Sox may just want Edwin Jackson as trade bait to the Washington Nationals for left handed hitter Adam Dunn.

One of the pitchers the White Sox traded was Daniel Hudson, who was scheduled to start tonight against Oakland. With Hudson gone, and Jackson not able to start in his place, the Sox have called up a prospect from their Triple A Charlotte team, Lucas Harrell, to start tonight.

Lucas Harrell has a connection to a former BU player- Harrell is from Ozark, Missouri, and graduated from Ozark High School in 2004. He was a classmate of Sam Singh, who also is a 2004 graduate of Ozark HS.
Lucas Harrell also played on the very successful Ozark basketball team with Sam (state champion in 2003, 3rd place in 2002 and 2004)-

Apparently, the Adam Dunn deal is not likely to happen now.
