  • Hinrich to Wizards

About six weeks after his altercation with Bobby Portis, forward Nikola Mirotic participated in the Chicago Bulls' practice session for the first time.

The Bulls have a deal in place that would move Kirk Hinrich and the 17th pick to the Washington Wizards, freeing up enough cap space to pursue two maximum-salary players on this summer's free-agent market.

If the Bulls can land lets say Lebron James and Chris Bosh I would say excellent trade. Still a little sad to see Kirk go though.

ME-too, I like Kirk but this reminds you it is just a business!

Kirk was my favorite Bull, so sad for me. But it is good IF the Bulls can grab 2 max free agents. If they fail to get anybody, this would be bad. I think they will at least get 1 of the big guys if not 2.

With Arenas, Hinrich, and Wall I wonder if the Wizards will either flip Hinrich to another team or get rid of Arenas. I doubt they will have any takers for Arenas trade wise so they'd have to buy him out.

There is a rumor out there that Orlando would like to move Vince Carter for Arenas. I think Arenas is going to have a huge chip on his shoulder and will be out to prove everyone wrong. If he can play off the ball a and contribute in other areas other then shooting the ball, I think he is a good option on a team.

But if he is the same Arenas and has to be the "man" or jacking up lots of shots, then he might not be a very good option of anyone.

I would not make that trade of Arenas for Carter. Carter is done as any type of All Star IMO. Arenas' contract will be very hard to move so I suspect that he will be staying. I'm just not sure how Wall and Arenas will be able to play together. Both like the ball in their hands and Wall works best in a transition type team while Arenas likes the 1/2 court game.

Hinrich will stay with the Wizards in order to bring Wall along in the NBA. He'll be a great role model and I expect to see him step in quickly as a leader. I also believe Saunders runs a system that is perfect for Hinrich's game.
