Galesburg paper is specific in claiming the area is near Jubilee State Park, which, of course, is off Grange Hall Rd & Princeville-Jubilee Rd, way west of Peoria...
and that a command center has been set up near the Grand Prairie Mall...

        I hear black helicopters overhead.

A lot of helicopter traffic nearby. I assume news choppers.

I live out in the country a few miles from the area that is being searched. The woods behind my house is very wet and muddy so I am sure that isn't helping with any type of search.

"Cops have taped off a section on private hunting ground in Peoria, IL. It appears officials have set up a tent inside the restricted area."

              Latest development...
              "Police Suspend Search.."
"Investigators wrapped up a day of digging Saturday after recieving a "credible lead" ....
but officials said it was "highly unlikely that we'll be back tomorrow....would not do anymore digging."

..so it looks like this was an unproductive lead...

Illinois State Police Sargent Tom Burek: "We're not done with the spot. I don't want to give you the impression we are, I don't want to give you the impression of oh nothing there, we're gone."

I was driving down Ford road to the Ford-Grange Hall Intersection and saw a Chicago ABC 7 News van...I was confused and saw a reporter and camera man walking down the street. Pretty ridiculous this all ended up a few miles from my house.

                    PEORIA ??”
Authorities searching for missing suburban Chicago woman Stacy Peterson plan to continue investigating a tip in central Illinois, but the search won't resume on Monday.

Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Tom Burek says no search is planned on Monday, but he says the lead is still considered active.

Mike McCoy was on WMBD radio this am talking about the case and it was mentioned, why would any misleading source perfectly describe a mostly unknown remote area of Peoria county? And have that spot verified by 3 cadaver sniffing dogs.

The ?archaelogoist working with police is the expert working on the Dixon mounds, but he is elderly and cannot put in the extreme hours needed to continue all weekend.

don't know but it wouldn't be the first time someone was wrong in such a case...
there were numerous, verified, and reliable reports placing Elmo and Edna Batterton in Pennsylvania....as well as other places..
but as we now know, they were instead in their car on the bottom of the Illinois River.

Paranormal myth-buster James Randi even uses the Batterton case to show how wrong psychics most often are.....

Only opossum bones! I'm guessing they wait for better technology to arrive and continue methodically.

I have an almost identical case if you're interested...
where a bizarre and detailed scenario was confessed and a potential story for the location of a missing woman was extremely detailed yet in the end was completely false and fabricated....

check it out here and if nobody has a guess...I will reveal the answer shortly...
