  • Bulls rumor- Bulls maybe interested in acquiring Tracy McGrady

    Bulls interested in Tracy McGrady?
One hundred years provides more than several lifetimes full of highlights, some lowlights, and many memories. Here’s a look at 100 years of the Western Golf Association and the Western Open. …

IMO, I wouldn't mind seeing McGrady on the Bulls. However, I think they have a good chance next summer to land a free agent like Dwyane Wade, who I much prefer, but that wouldn't be so likely if they get McGrady now.
Also, McGrady will be 31 by the end of this season, and has been limited by injuries the last couple years. Wade is 3 years younger (27 now, soon to be 2, and I think he's a much better "team player" (maybe that's why Houston seems to be a better team with McGrady out?).
Maybe the Bulls think they won't be able to get Wade, Bosh, or any other of the impact free agents next summer. If that's the case, then I'd go for McGrady. The only problem is that I hate to see them give up one of the best rebounders in the NBA, Joakim Noah. More likely, because of the need to balance salaries (McGrady makes >$20 million a year), the Bulls would have to part with a couple guys like Hinrich and Tyrus Thomas. They need to be sure the health issues are resolved, but when he was healthy, McGrady was as good a scorer as anyone.
Here are Tracy McGrady's career stats- the last 2 years have been affected by injuries.-

First and foremost I am a Bulls fan but I get all of the Rockets info and watching them here.

McGrady is an absolutel shawdow of himself. He has zero lateral movement, he can not get to the rim anymore and he is NOT anywhere near a team player. He keeps stating the team that gets him will get a hungry player. Whatever they will get a selfish, has been.

If the Bulls want a me first, no defense self centered player, then they need to pull the trigger and Vinny needs to immediately resign because McGrady will push the domino over to get him fired.

I know he has a huge contract and that number would be the absolutely only reason I would put him on a roster. I personally think if the Rockets can not get a top flight player in return... ie Igodolla then they will hold on to the contract and watch him walk in the summer.

    He is nothing but drama.

There is ZERO chance the Bulls are going after McGrady. ESPN made this up so that they could refute it.

It also appears to me that the Chicago sports media guys sound a little indignant that ESPN is trying to horn in on Chicago sports reporting with ramping up their Chicago branch of the ESPN website.

Don't do it! I'm pretty sure there isn't any real interest, but this guy is well on the downward slope.
