A lot of these kids who are still available are now are in huge demand...

    --Ben Brust has 30 offers...
--Iowa decommit Cody Larson has dozens of BCS offers..
--even the Siena commit will now suddenly get a Big Ten roster spot by following McCaffery

..it's a game played every spring by players of decent but not impressive talent who play their cards right and are the center focus of intense recruiting.

...but one guy that I am puzzled about is Kaylon Williams.......

He was the best freshman PG in the Valley a couple years ago at Evansville, but he obviously saw that the Aces were going to be bad for some time to come and thought he could do better.
So he left and was probably figuring on greener pastures and a bigger offer...

Rumors had him going to Iowa, but then Lickliter left...although McCaffery was reportedly interested....
even Illinois was checking the guy out, but seriously - 11.5 ppg and 7.4 assists at a D-II junior college just isn't exceptional...
and he claimed an offer from Iowa State, too.

BUT -- he is a point guard and teams do need to restock each year in April...so I am sure if he held out he might still get someone, maybe DePaul, Indiana, or even some other big Ten or Big 12 school surely would have begun to show interest........
the late holdout technique is working great for Brust, Larson, Wilkins, other kids......

But then Kaylon Williams signs with UW-M.
How playing for a mediocre Horizon team (36-34 in past 4 seasons) in any way superior to playing for a mediocre Valley team?
