  • Question for Bears fans...

After the 7th win of the season and 3rd year in a row with no play-offs, will Lovie be back next season as head coach or does he get fired Monday? I would like to see changes but its not my 11 million $ owed to Lovie!

I would be very surprised if Lovie gets fired. Just like Carolina finishing strong and showing their potential saved John Fox's job..... so too will Cutler and the Bears strong finish save Lovie's job.

If you listen carefully, you'll hear Ron Turner tapping away at his p.c. updating his resume. He will be the fall guy for this aging, mediocre team that has a poor line, poor running game and no edge rush. I'm not saying he did a stellar job, but he's not the root cause of this team's primary issues.

      Some more questions:

Why did it take so long to get Devin Aromashodu on the field?

Why did it take so long to figure out that Jay Cutler thrives in a moving pocket?

Why did it take so long to realize that Chris Williams was your best option at left tackle?

      etc.

All valid points DS! I blame Jerry Angelo as much as the coach's but I think he is safe....one of the worst judges of talent in the NFL imo!

Agreed about Jerry Angelo. He is the biggest problem. His draft choices have been terrible overall. Ever hear the guy speak? He sounds like his IQ is about 80 (my apologies to people with IQ's around 80). How did he ever get that far? He is an utterly complete moron. Complete. No more work to do to be a moron... he has achieved that status.

Just looked up the final stats.... Jay Cutler with 27 tds and 26 ints.....3,666 passing yards, I believe thats 2nd in yards behind Eric Krammer in all time Bears records?
tribune...Turner expects to return as Off. Cor.....

                1. Devin Hester. Everyone was expecting him to be the go to guy. Once he got hurt, opened the door for Aroma...aroma....aromashadu. Looks real good, should be a good reciever next year

                2. Turner doesnt get it and thus did not work with that mentality

                3. Orlando Pace. Who are you going to take, an injury prone young guy, who basically is a rookie. or a future hall of famer. Saw it when he was able to defend Jared Allen very well. I really liked that

yea, hes pretty bad...he should be safe.

                My theory:
next year will be a similar year to this, experimenting, doing their best...but only big move will be getting a new OC...no idea who it'll be...hopefully Charlie Weis (different thread should be made for that...HA)
then next year when Lovie's contract is up, maybe see some big changes
hopefully some big name coach will be available...maybe Dungy needs another season to reconsider retirement
Gloria: Who's side are you on?
Jay: She's my daughter, you're my wife. Let's remember what's important, there's a football game on today
