College football's regular season is complete. As indicated by the wisdom of the polls and BCS rankings, the number 1 (Florida) and number 2 (Alabama) teams play today. Unfortunately, the intended title game in January becomes moot after today's victor is crowned champion.
Should be a great game. I would bet on Florida, but what do I know. It seems most ESPN experts are picking Alabama.
Guest ESPN analyst Lane Kiffin (Tennessee coach) who has had a public feud with Florida coach Urban Meyer, stoked things a bit more by taking a shot at Meyer's coaching-
I wish we were seeing more controversy surrounding today's game. Assuming the following is correct from Wikipedia,
"The Bowl Championship Series (BCS) is a selection system designed to give the top two ranked teams in the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) an opportunity to compete in a "national championship game". This championship is intended as a surrogate for a playoff system since the NCAA does not formally determine a champion in this category."
then the SEC Championship has inadvertently done just what the BCS system is supposedly designed to do.
Given my disdain for the BCS system, I would like to see either Florida or Alabama win by at least a 2 touchdown margin and Texas lose to Nebraska. That would certainly create a chaotic situation for the BCS spin-meisters.
There is even talk now that the BCS Championship Bowl game might even involve these same 2 teams!
Let's say Alabama beats Florida in a close game, and Texas loses to Nebraska, and maybe depending on how some other games go and how the polls rank the teams after this weekend, Florida and Alabama could still end up #1 and #2 in the BCS rankings.
The talking heads on CBS think there is even a slim chance that if Florida beats Alabama, as long as it is real close, that they could still end up #1 and #2 and face each other for the BCS Championship again on January 7th.
I believe it's John 16:33..... Google it. Did you know he's puts something different on his face each game and the next day it is the #1 most searched thing on google?

Now, what do you do with Cincy? Now that was an entertaining game.
That WAS a very entertaining game. However, the Big East has gotten SO weak in football. And Boise State has had their chance in the past. If Texas loses tonight I'd really like to see 'Bama vs. TCU for the National Championship.
