It's easiest to rate your players by position first. Then, if you have time, rank them in order regardless of position. The "live" draft takes about 1 hour. FWIW, most people choose a marquee RB or QB with their first pick.

My "buddy league" is on CBS too so I am very familiar with the rules, but our draft is somewhat of an annual ceremony at a local watering hole, so all we usually do is meet up, pick players, drink cocktails and the commissioner handles the rest.
