I feel fairly confident the Illini were not going to score anyway, but that was terrible. I seem to disagree with replay rulings just as much as I disagree with regular calls. I hear the on the field referee says he never possessed the ball, it was loose on his stomach as he lay on his back, then the NW player took it. That is not true at all. He had possession the whole time and his knee was down before he even rolled over. I have no idea what the replay official thought he saw. Oh well the Illini deserved to lose anyway.
