I didn't realize this was a problem, but the NFL thinks it is.
The NFL has instituted a ban on players posing in a way to promote a product on the field during NFL games. This is the result of the "Captain Morgan" pose that was displayed last Sunday by Philadelphia Eagles tight end Brent Celek after a touchdown. Captain Morgan had intended to start a campaign encouraging NFL players to pose that way for the cameras, and they would make a donation to a charity for former NFL players.
It's probably a good idea to ban it now, because it would likely lead to more commercial displays on the field.
