Wichita puts BLACK dirt on infield of baseball stadium

Their team colors are black and gold...so I guess that's the logic, and so they decided to do something different.
The entire infield isn't dirt color or brown, it's black...

But there have already been complaints from fans who think it looks terrible and is simply too non-traditional....
so guess what..........
The folks at Wichita State have caved, and now the black turf is reportedly being removed...

Oh yea! That WAS ugly! What were they thinking? Can you imagine what they players' uniforms would look like after a slide? Especially if it had been raining. And, imagine how HOT that infield would be for the infielders. I'd HATE to be a catcher.

The black dirt isnt great looking but it sure overall looks a heck of alot better then their part astroturf infield and grass outfield they used to have.

Black, Red or Brown , Who really cares what color thier infield is!! After we get through with them this upcoming year the color of the infield is going to be the least of thier worries!!! Black and Blue is what they will be seeing after were done with them!!!

I would love to see Bradley compete with Wichita State. They have been the class of the MVC for a long time. Go BU!

Schedule should come out soon and i would not be surprised that this team will be nationally ranked this year in the pre-seaon polls. This is a quality legit team we have, with all types of stud players with tremendous track records and accolades.
Right now is the time to prepare, to work hard as they are getting bigger, faster, stronger.
The braves will be a lean mean baseball machine!!!!!

Really really hope it happens for you bubaseball but if history is any indication it wont, but it would be real nice if that program stopped losing so much and was a consistant winner.

Sorry BUBASEBALL#1. This team will NOT be ranked in any preseason poll simply because they are Bradley and they are a Midwest team. Most of the Top 20 will be "warm weather" teams.

I'll guess you guys will just have to go out and prove everybody wrong and EARN IT. Keep that cockiness and confidence and geter done

Bradley braves baseball ranked nationally

Hey, houstontx and braves 4 life, guess your wrong and will have to eat your words as bradley baseball recruits get national attention and get ranked 48 out of 100 for the first time in school history!!! See bradley braves baseball website.
Only wichita state got ranked before bradley as 19 in the missouri valley conference.
And to top if off for the week they put a beating on illinois central college 26-6 in a 12 inning scrimmage today.
It's time you get with the program, if you are truly a bradley brave baseball fan because this team is legit and taking no prisoners along the way!!!

I was referring to the national ranking of the TEAM, not the recruiting class. Congrats to the Braves for pulling off a top ranked recruiting class. A few more of these and we WILL (should) have a top ranked TEAM.
