  • John Paxson resigns?

Kind of strange timing when we are seemingly in the running for Stoudemire and we are in the middle of the season.

This is just the tip of the iceberg...

Doug Collins could be approached at some point and be offered the GM job and/or the head coaching job.

Wouldn't that be going from bad to worse.

That is very bizarre timing. I wonder how that will affect the the Stoudemire negotiations.

No, absolutely not as coach! Him as a GM though would be interesting though. I think he know's the ins and outs of the GM position better than Paxson did.

Well, now the Heat might get him.

Suns have discussed deal that would send Amare Stoudemire to Miami with Memphis' Rudy Gay going to Phoenix.

            For the record:

Bulls Chaiman Jerry Reisdorf responded to the reports by issuing this statement-
"Pete Vecsey is not a credible enough source to comment on. Two weeks ago he had John being fired. Now he has him resigning."

Note that Jerry Reinsdorf did not deny the content of the report, but only criticized the credibility of the reporter.

I think John is a good guy....but the Bulls have been in rebuilding since Jordan/Pippen IMO and either Johns hands are tied by Reinsdorf (which might be the case) or he is a very bad judge of talent & character! It would not hurt the team if he left!

Noah was a terrible pick imo, and Thomas has not developed fast enough. You can't survive in the NBA as a GM with top picks that dont work out.

Definitely right there. Plus, trading established Elton Brand for rookie Tyson Chandler, then trading him and Eddy Curry away, etc. etc. But, I do think Thomas is starting to finally develop, and he looks pretty good.

Thomas is looking OK, not real good. I don't think he'll last though.

Overall, the bulls have made some pretty terrible administrative moves in the past few years (except picking Rose over Beasley ).

Amare would be HUGE...would love having him as a bull. What does this do though for the big FA class that happens next summer? could be still get some other big name?

                          wait a sec.

The Eddy Curry trade was a bad move?? Really? Probably the best move he has ever made. The problem was that they let Chandler go and signed Wallace who basically did the same thing and they just got lots older. Then they had to take on some really bad contracts to get rid of him (read: Drew Gooden, Larry Hughes).

Agreed though Stoudemire/Rose would be fun to watch
