LeBron would obviously be the better signing and I'm on board with you about D-Wade's durability issues. But considering Wade's ties to Chicago, I think the Bulls would be big players in trying to get him in 2010.

Yes those D-Wade rumors have already been swirling. I think it will depend on a bit on how the Heat perform over the next couple of seasons.

News of another trade breaking for the Bulls-

Larry Hughes traded to the NY Knicks for Tim Thomas and Jerome James. This trade simply rids each team of contracts that they were trying to dump.
However, the Knicks apparently want Hughes for his ability to score, so he will probably see some playing time. Thomas and James may not.
An earlier deal that was reported to include Malik Rose and possibly David Lee fell through-

Thomas was traded to the Bulls 3 years ago for Eddy Curry, and never played because Scott Skiles didn't want him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him ride the bench again in a suit until his contract expires, or maybe he will be released outright like he was 2 years ago (he played out the year in 2006 with Phoenix)

Jerome James is a backup center with limited talent, who has only played in 2 games for the Knicks this year, despite being available all year. In fact, he has been on the Knicks' roster for the past 4 seasons. He played in only 2 games last year, too. With the Bulls acquiring Brad Miller, and already having a number of big men who can't score, I don't see James dressing for any games with the Bulls.

Hhehe. I did just read that Jerome James is out for the year with a bad knee-- so I guess Joakim is safe.

I really wanted David Lee. But now we trade trash Hughes for trash Thomas. Great.

                    Not so bad

Well the one for the draft pick is the first one I like. I assume the Bulls have a first round pick also? I can't remember if they traded it. If they do have their pick and the other first rounder, they may be able to trade them to a bad team that needs lots of help and either get a good veteran or a lottery pick to play with Rose in the future. Besides I think Salmons was playing the same spot as Sefalosha.

But the draft pick they received is not the pick of the Thunder.
It will be the lower of the two 2009 draft picks that the Thunder now own that were originally the property of the Denver Nuggets and the Phoenix Suns. Denver is currently 37-17, the 5th best overall record, and Phoenix is 30-23, which is the 13th best record overall.

So it will most likely be the Phoenix pick that the Bulls get, which will be somewhere around the 17th to 20th pick in the 1st round next June.
