He should be gone. They say the Bulls are one of four teams in the hunt for Amare Stoudamire. He and Rose would be a solid start on a contending team. Give them anyone else they want. We will have a few players left and they want some expiring contracts so Larry Hughes or Drew Gooden in the trade also.

He should have already made some moves-

Paul Gasol?

This is his chance to make up for them. The team needs rebuilt I hope they don't take the fact that they won a few games lately as a sign that things are getting better. Clean house. Give them anything but Rose. I also would hold on to draft picks. Maybe one pick if the deal hinges on it.

I'm very much with you on this. The Bulls with Stoudamire would be much improved. I can't think of any combination of Bulls that doesn't include Derrick Rose that I wouldn't trade for Stoudamire.

Suns forward Amare Stoudemire continues to be the subject of heated trade talks, and the Chicago Bulls are now the favorite to land the All-Star, according to multiple reports.
According to ESPN.com and Yahoo.com reports, the Bulls are offering the expiring deal of forward Drew Gooden ($7.1 million) and rising young big man Tyrus Thomas (9.7 points, 6 rebounds). Yahoo is reporting a first-round pick would be included in a deal, while ESPN reports the third piece could be either a pick, Joakim Noah or Thabo Sefolosha.
Yahoo's report notes that both the Blazers and Cavaliers are waiting in the wings hoping the Suns come looking for a salary dump. The Cavaliers have Wally Szczerbiak's $13 million expiring contract, while the Trail Blazers have Raef LaFrentz's $12.7 million deal to shop. The Cavs would also reportedly include forward J.J. Hickson and a first-round pick, while the Blazers would add Jerryd Bayless and a first-round selection.

The latest news now is that the Phoenix Suns will fire their coach Terry Porter, and replace him with Alvin Gentry.
Gentry's coaching style is a more wide open offese, close to former Sun' coach Mike D'Antoni's style. If this happens, it is expected the Suns will not look to trade Stoudamire.

Gooden was trash, but I'm gonna miss Noc!! Salmons gives them a good scoring option - he is averaging over 18 pts a game this season. But Brad Miller?? He is injury prone and past his prime. I liked him with the Bulls before, though. Hopefully this works out. But IMO, they need a better scoring big guy than Miller. Someone like Bosh, Stoudemire, or David Lee.

I am guessing that his contract will hold quite abit of value next season and he will be moved either then or over the summer.

He has been injuried most of this season but so has Gooden, this is a trade in the long run I think the Bulls got the better of as long as they are able to do something with Miller's contract next season. I will guess Salmons and Nocioni's on the court numbers essentially will wash each other out but I think Salmons has a higher upside as a player compared to Nocioni.

Combine the salaries of Miller and Larry Hughes and the Bulls likely will be way under the salary cap in 2010. But what they do with all that room and how they play between now and end of 2010 is a huge question mark.

I think because the contracts of Miller and Salmons will put the Bulls over the Luxury tax, I will not be surprised to see Hinrich traded soon, probably for expiring contracts.

this still leaves a lot of open salary cap room for a big name next year w/ the big FA class

I love D-Wade... Need to watch how he does with the durability. He's been pretty injury prone. Also, don't think LeBron will leave Cleveland, but if he does, you have to take a run at him.

Finally, Bosh and Amare will both be FAs in the same year... Rose, Bosh, D-Wade... Dynasty.
