Chicago Blackhawks vs. Detroit Red Wings...

Currently in the 2nd period with the Hawks up 3-2. I love seeing hockey being played at Wrigley Field. The Winter Classic is something that needs to continue to be done every year and this year I don't think they could have chosen a better venue with two teams with as much history as they Hawks and Wings do.

Game now tied 3-3 with 7 minutes left in the 2nd period. The game can be found on NBC.

I wondered how many Bradleyfans are hockey fans, too.
I grew up a Chicago Blackhawk fan, so it's great to see their resurgence the last couple seasons. I am watching the Hawks-Red Wings at Wrigley Field, and it's a great game.

It would be fun to be there, but most fans have a terrrible view of the game. The lower level fans probably paid higher prices and they have a terrible angle, can't see much of the ice, and are so far away, they are missing much of the game. The upper deck seats are the best ones for seeing the action, but they are quite far away, too. The do have video screens so fans can see some of what they are missing.

I wonder if the many fans on the rooftops across the streets still feel it was worth the cost, and sitting out in the frigid weather.

Red Wings are having a great 2nd period and taking advantage of the wind being in Huet's face. They just scored their third goal of the period and took the lead 4-3. The period only has 2 minutes left and then hopefully the Hawks will be able to turn it around in the 3rd period.

I know from experience that it is hard to follow the baseball when sitting in the rooftop seats so I can only imagine how hard it is to follow a puck. Then add in all the wind that they get, still the experience has to be awesome.

Early in the 3rd Detroit scores again. 5-3 Red Wings.

Didn't know this but at the 10 minute mark apparently they are going to do a hockey version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and then the teams are going to switch sides.

Currently there is debate over whether or not there is another Detroit goal. From what I saw from the replay, it looked like a goal and it should be 6-3 Red Wings.

After video replay it is determined that it was a goal. 6-3 Red Wings

Hawks score with 2 seconds left but obviously it isn't enough as the Red Wings win 6-4

I missed out on scoring tickets, then got stuck working during the game anyway.
Hate the red wings, grew up an Avalanche fan, but am coming around to the Hawks now, helps they are a visible franchise again.
