SIU's new AD

SIU is going to announce their NEW Athletic Director today.

It reportedly will be the guy who for 7 years has been the assistant AD at Mizzou.

Some controversy while he was there, but reportedly he is good at fundraising. Maybe SIU can get a new arena named "Paige".

with all the problems at missouri this has to be a very questionable hire.

Seems there's a problem at SIU over the selection as well.
Not that anyone objects to the guy who was selected, but numerous coaches and people in the athletic dept. are apparently miffed they were neither included in the selection process, nor informed who the new hire would be until the guy's name appeared in the papers.
"At the least, coaches should have known who the AD was going to be before (the newspaper reporters) did, and that wasn't the case."
"Less than 24 hours before Moccia was introduced, neither (SIU head Jerry Kill nor head basketball coach Chris Lowery) had been told who the new AD was going to be. There's something wrong with that."
