  • 3-point shooting in the Valley

So far even though the numbers are small there are a number of guys shooting quite well..
...including a lot of the ISU guys...although not the ones you might think!

The ISU players that are taking the most 3-pointers......
    Oguchi, Champ............SR......3.......7......22... .318 (also only 30% overall on FG%)
    Eldridge, Osiris.............SR......3.......6......22... .273
in fact, they are dead last (& next to last) on their own team among players who have made a 3-pointer.

Well Champ's percentage went from .318 to .433 after going 6-8 tonight. Not to mention his 8-11 from the field so I would imagine that 30% overall went up as well...

And Osiris's went from .273 to .320 after going 2-3 tonight...

The Birds were 13-23 from 3 tonight.

It's pretty early into the season for these to really matter... but i figured I would just update the totals

Any guesses on who that is? Not sure why he didn't make Tornado's list either.
Hmm...can't be Oguchi....he's taken about 50 shots by this point...

30 treys to be exact. He's hit on 13 of them. That's 43%.

Total shots is 41 and he has hit 18 of them. That's 44%.

If BU can't improve upon their poor team 3-point shooting, they're going to have a tough time with UMKC tomorrow. If Andrew Warren can't play, I don't see it improving much.
            Onward and Upward!

Indeed they have and it is a big factor in ISU being 7-0.
I sure appreciate you keeping us up to date on those stats, RBF21!

But....note one thing...as bad as Bradley is shooting from 3 pt range (32%), not only is that improved over the past few games, but Bradley's 2-pt shooting pct is actually pretty good!
89-170, 52.4%...virtually the same as ISU's...so when BU plays ISU, we just need to get out and defend.
