true but the conference season is what matters.
Let's face it, we wouldn't be getting an at large bid this season anyway, so we are playing for the auto bid

Illinois beats Jackson State 78-64 - Bill Cole does get 2 min of garbage time

one consolation...Houston Baptist is playing Alabama State, so one of ISU's opponents is bound to get a win tonight.

Mizzou knocks off Top 20 ranked USC...82-73
Mizzou outscored USC 42-21 over the final 16 minutes...sounds like an SIU game!

USC is NOT a top 20 team!

a somewhat painful game to watch....Xavier vs. Memphis.

Both teams loaded with incredible athletes, but.........

so much one-on-one, selfish play. One pass then gun it...especially Tyreke "I'm the only guy on this team" Evans.
(Tyreke took 16 shots, 6 three-point attempts, and 4 FT just to make 12 points in the scorebook!!)

By the way, Tyreke was the only guy who didn't have a lot of fouls called on him, and it was mostly because he never bothered to play defense.

Nice to see Memphis get beat on national TV. Sure most of those guys will be in the NBA but this exposes them as a group of guys with incredible talent but overrated as a team since they all play for themselves.
They also kill themselves with their free throw shooting...15-30, 50%

Xavier wasn't a whole lot better but their 25-37, 67.6% on FT's was one of the game winning factors.

Both teams made only 18 FG's in the game...
