  • TOCC is less than one week away!

The Trusted Choice Tournament of Champions Classic is less than one week away.

Five big questions for area players:

    1) How will Jordan Prosser fare against the likes of All-America 6'9" Jr. Jordan Manuel of Indianapolis Howe?

    2) How will Dyricus Simms-Edwards fare against Noel Johnson of Fayette County- GA?

    3) Is John Henson the real deal????

    4) Is Angus Brandt the real deal??

    5) Can Washington High School make it 3 straight championships in the TOCC?

This is the 3rd year for this great tournament....and I know a lot of posters have gone and have seen some great games.

I urge you to all check out the schedule of games and get to a few....
especially to see Jordan Prosser, Dyricus Simms-Edwards, Donivine Stewart, as well as Peoria Notre Dame and Jim Les' son Tyler Les, and try to catch Culver Academy play...
they are a small private Indiana school that is now coached by Alan Huss, who is a Creighton grad, and he has built a good team of top talent there!
They have a 6-8 freshman named Hanner Perea...

I volunteered for the tournament last year and got to hang around Pekin High School and talk with a lot of the players and coaches. It wasn't quite the atmosphere that apparently was there in Washington, but from everything I've heard about this year's tournament planning, it will be a premier event!

How about having the first Bradleyfans roadtrip on Wednesday November 26 at 8pm to see Jordan Prosser's Eureka team vs East Peoria
        Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

I would love to, but I can't get out of work that night due to it being the end of the month. Otherwise, I would definitely go for the Limestone, Eureka doubleheader! I'll probably make it to Eureka's 3:00 game on Friday and hopefully the game on Saturday.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

Hanner Perea, who had a great AAU season playing in Indiana, and who was announced to be playing for Culver Academy, has now transferred and is at Central Park Christian HS in Birmingham, AL.
Central Park Christian is already off to a 4-0 start with wins of
                107-36, 110-44, 85-46, and 85-48.
