Larry Anderson

Many will recall the talk on Larry Anderson, the prep school kid that BU was recruiting last year and that many on this board really wanted.....although it came right down to BU & Long Beach and Larry chose Long Beach State.

I checked to see how he did last night.......

Now, keep in mind, that BU went with a couple new kids.....Dunson, Roberts, McCain, Norris, and we missed out on Larry Anderson, and settled for Taylor Brown & John Wilkins instead.

Larry Anderson came in as a sub for Long Beach State last night against BYU.
LBSU led most of the early going, was ahead at half 38-31, then faded down the stretch to BYU and lost 75-65.
Larry Anderson played 14 minutes, was 1-4, 2 pts, 3 rebs.
(btw, he is a born & bred Long Beach native, just like Da Coach is, so it is quite logical he chose LBSU over BU.)
They drew 15,800 at Provo...and BYU has a preseason All American (and National Player of the Year candidate),
Lee Cummard (their version of Sean Harris) who scored 36 points and had 11 rebounds for BYU last night.

Another kid whose name was linked to BU, Devan Bawinkel, played his first game for Iowa last night.
He was 1-3 and 3 points.
Iowa beat Charleston Southern, 68-48, as some people aren't sold yet on Licklliter's style of play.

Funny....more than half of the entire 8-page thread on their message board about their first win, was complaints about the Big Ten Network and worrying about how Iowa State was doing!!
